There is a television series in the works that could be fantastic or a huge failure. The Sarah Connor Chronicles is based on Sarah and John Connor from the Terminator series.
Wait, didn’t Sarah Connor die? Well, yes she did. But this series will be set in between Terminator 2: Judgment Day and Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. So at some point in the series Sarah Connor will have to die of cancer.
Sarah Connor is being played by Lena Headey, the hottie queen from 300 and the tracker in The Brothers Grimm.
So here’s the low down on The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
At the end of “Terminator 2: Judgment Day,” Sarah vanquished the liquid metal Terminator sent from the future to kill her teenage son, John. Sarah and John now find themselves alone in a very dangerous, complicated world. Fugitives from the law, they are confronted with the reality that still more enemies from the future, and the present, could attack at any moment.
THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES reveals what happens when SARAH (Lena Headey, “The Brothers Grimm,” “300”) stops running and goes on the offensive against an ever-evolving technological enemy bent on destroying her life, and perhaps the world. Her son, 15-year-old JOHN CONNOR (Thomas Dekker, “Heroes”), knows that he may be the future savior of mankind, but is not yet ready to take on the mantle of leadership that he’s told is his destiny. John finds himself inextricably drawn to CAMERON (Summer Glau, “Serenity,” “The Unit”), an enigmatic and otherworldly student at his high school, who soon proves to be much more than his confidante – she assumes the role of Sarah and John’s fearless protector. On their trail are not only threats from the future, but an intelligent and tough FBI agent, JAMES ELLISON (Richard T. Jones, “Judging Amy”), who soon becomes a powerful ally.

There are also a few minutes of the pilot episodes that you can watch, here and here.
The spirit of the 300 Spartans just will not die!
All over the web pictures of Gerard Butler’s screaming face has been plastered on images. So I thought I’d add one of the funniest I’ve seen, Caution! This is Sparta.
We actually set one of those up at work, but had Caution! Break Dancing.
And then there is 300 Queers, which is a nice little animation making a little gayness out of the Spartan army.

Why is Mr. T famous? Because he pities the fools and doesn’t put up with any jibba jabba!
For about ten years, Mr. T was a bodyguard to the stars, protecting such well-known personalities as Muhammad Ali, Steve McQueen, Michael Jackson, Bruce Lee, Joe Frazier, and Diana Ross. He charged around $3,000 a day and his business card famously read, “Next to God, there is no greater protector than I.”
During his stint as a doorman, he would take jewelry from disorderly people and wear it himself as a testament to how well he performed his job as a bouncer. At one point, his gold chains, rings, and bracelets were worth about $300,000.
In 1982 Mr. T was spotted by Sylvester Stallone while taking part in “The World’s Toughest Bouncer” contest with Lee Dittrich. His role in Rocky III was originally intended as just a few lines, but Stallone built up the part around the man. His catch phrase, “I pity the fool!” comes from the film, where he played a boxer facing Rocky Balboa in a match. When asked if he hated Rocky, he replied, “I don’t hate Balboa, but I pity the fool.”
In 1984 released a rap album titled Mr. T’s Commandments much in the same tone as his 1984 educational video which instructs children to stay in school and to stay away from drugs. Watch the music video for Treat Your Mother Right.
Lately Mr. T has been driving tanks for Snickers.
I’ve done a few posts on the 300 Movie, but it’s time for just one more.
