I’ll Be Back is the Most Used
A survey by myfilms.com has concluded that Arnold Schwarzenegger’s classic “I’ll be back” line from The Terminator is the most common film line used in everyday conversation.
The question asked to reveal the top ten film catchphrases was “Which famous phrase do you borrow from films to use in everyday conversation?” 2000 people were asked and the top ten are all as I would have expected them to be.
The full top ten film catchphrases are:
1. “I’ll be back.” from the ‘The Terminator’
2. “Frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn.” from ‘Gone With The Wind’
3. “Beam me up, Scotty.” from ‘Star Trek’
4. “May the force be with you.” from ‘Star Wars’
5. “Life is like a box of chocolates.” from ‘Forrest Gump’
6. “You talking to me?” from ‘Taxi Driver’
7. “Show me the money.” from ‘Jerry Maguire’
8. “Do you feel lucky, punk?” from ‘Dirty Harry’
9. “Here’s looking at you, kid.” from ‘Casablanca’
10. “Nobody puts Baby in the corner.” from ‘Dirty Dancing’
I do have a problem with “Beam me up, Scotty.”, because that was never actually used (Apparently). Anyway, what is your most used line?
“A PLEDGE PIN!”
From Animal House.
Or…
“You fucked up, you trusted us.”
“My advice is to start drinking heavily.”
I thought they smelled bad…on the outside!
