First of all, if you go to Ted Elliot and Terry Rossio's website (they are the writers, if you didn't know) they specifically say that Will's curse is lifted after 10 years, if Elizabeth is still waiting for him. Which is why the scene after the credits is significant. In Curse of the Black Pearl, like Justin said, we see Jack the Monkey stealing a piece of Aztec gold, which explains his undeadness in DMC. After the credits in Dead Man's Chest, there was a really stupid pointless scene of the prison dog being made cheif by the cannibals. They just decided that, for AWE, they would make the scene after the credits a bit more significant. And Adam, even though you asid you assumed Liz would have waited for Will after ten years, considering her history (kissing four different guys in the span of two movies...) I'm sure not many people thought she was capable of staying faithful. :) And yes, that is her son. His obligation is forever or until someone stabs his heart. He can come back for one day at a time every ten years. Which sucks for him, but whats ten years out of forever? Who really gets shafted is Elizabeth. If she stays faithful, she'll only be able to get nookie like six times, maybe more if she stays in great shape and they come out with some kind of back in the day Viagra for chicks, but what fun is that?
