I always check the comment Mollay, and thanks for the clarification.

I wasn't sure that the curse would be lifted after 10 years. Is he still immortal?

Wow, I doubt anyone still checks these comments, but I had to make a few statements.

First of all, if you go to Ted Elliot and Terry Rossio's website (they are the writers, if you didn't know) they specifically say that Will's curse is lifted after 10 years, if Elizabeth is still waiting for him. Which is why the scene after the credits is significant.

In Curse of the Black Pearl, like Justin said, we see Jack the Monkey stealing a piece of Aztec gold, which explains his undeadness in DMC. After the credits in Dead Man's Chest, there was a really stupid pointless scene of the prison dog being made cheif by the cannibals.

They just decided that, for AWE, they would make the scene after the credits a bit more significant.

And Adam, even though you asid you assumed Liz would have waited for Will after ten years, considering her history (kissing four different guys in the span of two movies...) I'm sure not many people thought she was capable of staying faithful. :)

And yes, that is her son. At least, in the credits he is called "Will Turner III"

I know this conversation happened a month ago but I just had to correct one of the first comments: Will cannot come back to land forever. His obligation is forever or until someone stabs his heart. He can come back for one day at a time every ten years. Which sucks for him, but whats ten years out of forever? Who really gets shafted is Elizabeth. If she stays faithful, she'll only be able to get nookie like six times, maybe more if she stays in great shape and they come out with some kind of back in the day Viagra for chicks, but what fun is that? Which leaves the way open for the plot sembalance that will shape PotC4!!!!

After the first movie they show the monkey Jack going back and stealing a piece of gold from the chest. Making him cursed again and this explains why Jack Sparrow can't kill the monkey in the next two movies.

There's a scene after every movie? I didn't know that.

What was after the first Pirates?

Well if they make a 4th movie which seems likely as of now that scene becomes very important. I thought it was more important than the scene after the 2nd movie when the we see the dog just sitting in the chair. I think if you look at all three scenes, I thought that this one was the most important for the story line. I think most people will be disappointed with it because they are expecting something funny.

I'm not saying the scene itself was horrible and the kid thing was a joke. It's just I don't think the sitting through the very long credits was worth it.

The story didn't need that scene to be complete, which is probably why it was after the credits.

I had already assumed that Will Turner would fulfill the debt/duty and Elizabeth Swan would be waiting for him.

Really whose kid do you think it is? He is probably 9 years and 3 months old and he is Will's kid. The green light was the dead giveaway that Will was returning from the dead. Plus if you had paid attention to the movie then you would of known what was going on.

Wow, that's a bit harsh.

I don't think waiting through the credits was really worth it.

Besides we don't know if Elizabeth was faithful. How old was that kid anyway?
